TP5 - Physics of Energy Conversion and Storage, Department of Physics, Technische Universität München

The group of Aliaksandr Bandarenka has expertise in electrocatalysis with a special focus on the development of active and stable electrocatalysts but also on elucidation and revealing of factors, which determine selectivity of catalytic centers, including the electrolyte composition. Model single crystal electrodes are used to derive structure-activity-selectivity relations. Special attention is dedicated to the development of new methodologies for in-situ investigation of electrocatalytic processes using laser-induced transients, electrochemical scanning tunneling microscopy, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy etc.
